Beautiful and cozy DIY boots for home – detailed master class with photos
With the onset of cloudy autumn days, we allwant warmth and comfort. This can be achieved with the help of warm tea and a blanket (this is a classic of the genre). And you can also make very original and warm house boots from the most accessible materials. In this case, you will not have to sew or knit anything. It is enough to have at your disposal an old sweater or jacket, a glue gun, scissors and a small piece of thick felt or felt. I am sure that most needlewomen have jackets that are no longer very fashionable, but it is a pity to throw them away. Now is the time to get them out! Let's take a jacket and cut off the sleeves from it, which will be our boots. The sleeves need to be cut off in the shoulder area. Moreover, in order for knitted items not to unravel, you need to cut above the seam.
Now we need to make the sole of ourboots. To do this, you need to take felt or felt and trace the shoes that fit you well in size on it with a marker or pen. These shoes, of course, should have a flat sole. It is important to note that if your felt is thick enough, then cutting out the sole will be very difficult, so the scissors should be large and sharp. If you do not have felt, you can buy ready-made shoe insoles of the size you need.
Our sole needs to be covered with the same fabric as the boots. To do this, cut out pieces of the appropriate size and, applying glue to the side of the sole, glue the fabric.
We cut off the excess pieces of fabric and our sole is ready.
Now we can start assembling our homeworkbooties. Take the sleeve and start gluing it to the sole. The upper part of the sleeve should be glued to the toe of the sole. The glue should be applied to the side of the sole. Make sure that there is not too much glue, otherwise after cooling it can press on the feet.
Our wonderful house boots are ready. If desired, they can be decorated with various beads, ribbons, etc. It is also worth noting that the warmer your jacket or sweater is, the warmer the boots will naturally be. If you think that they are not warm enough, you can put an additional, maybe even fur, insole. Then your boots will be really warm and cozy just right for cold autumn and winter days. You can make such boots for both adults and children, since, surprisingly, the sleeve of the item of your size is suitable for use as footwear.
