Original shelves of metal pipes with their own hands
We have already looked at how to make it frommetal pipes and fittings table lamp, floor lamp and even a bed with a sofa. Now it's the turn of metal shelves, which are also suitable for rooms in the Loft style or similar.
To make it you will need the following materials and tools:
- Flanges for fixing the pipe to the wall 2pcs. Preferably metal and without chrome or other bright coating.
- Threaded fittings.
- Metal tube pieces.
- Dowels for fixing the shelf to the wall.
- Drill.
- Tool for threading on pipes.
The number and size of pipes must be calculated individually depending on the required dimensions of the shelf (length, width, distance from the wall).
Assembling the shelf is very simple. First, the flange is attached with dowels or simply screws (depending on the wall). Then a short pipe is screwed onto it, a fitting onto it, and a long pipe onto the fitting.
The process is repeated until the desired shelf height is reached.
Afterwards, the lower part of the structure is attached to the wall in the same way as the upper part.
In principle, a similar original shelf can be made from plastic pipes. But it will not be the same.
