This detailed master class will teach you how to make a polymer clay figurine - a keychain in the form of a teddy bear.
To make a keychain with your own hands– cute teddy bear with a heart – you will need: – polymer clay of orange, pink, red, black colors; – pin with a ring (or other fittings), base for a keychain; – stationery knife, stacks.
We divide the plastic into two parts.One part should be about twice as big as the other. Roll a ball from the smaller part and attach one side to the work surface to make a hemisphere. Sharpen the other part a little so that it becomes a drop-shaped object. Attach the resulting body to the bear's head.
Roll 4 balls of polymer clay. Two of them should be slightly larger in size.
Roll into an elongated drop and bend slightly on the larger side, as shown in the photo. Attach the resulting hind legs to the body.
The front paws of the bear are made in the same way as the back ones, only they don’t need to be bent: roll the plastic into a drop shape, flatten it a little.
Attach a small red plastic ball to the work surface. Sharpen it slightly at the bottom and make a small indentation at the top with a toothpick.
We attach the heart to the bear's body.Attach the front paws to the body and the heart. It is better to place the heart not vertically, but at a slight angle, so that it is easier to place the front paws.
To make the ears, you need to roll out balls of orange and pink. The pink ball should be 2-3 times smaller than the orange one. Attach the pink ball to the orange one.
We cut it into two equal parts with a stationery blade and attach it to the bear’s head.
Roll out a small ball of orange plastic so that you get an oval flat cake. Attach it to the bottom of the bear's head.
Using a toothpick, mark the approximate location of the eyes and nose. From black polymer clay, make small balls – eyes, and an oval nose, slightly larger in size.
Using a toothpick, we make a texture over the entire surface of the bear's body. We leave only the muzzle, ears, nose, eyes and heart smooth. The toothpick can be sharpened a little with a stationery knife.
Bake for 30 minutes at 110 degrees.
Apply liquid plastic to the back of the figurine. Roll out orange polymer clay 1-2 mm thick.
We press the baked figure onto the rolled out plastic and cut off the protruding parts with a stationery knife.
Between the baked and unbaked layers we insert a pin. It must be bent beforehand so that it does not fall out. We apply texture to the back side with a toothpick. Bake again.
We cover the eyes, nose, inner part of the ears, heart with varnish for polymer clay. We attach the base for the keychain. The polymer clay teddy bear keychain is ready.
