This master class will teach you how to make a rainbow fish with the technique of facing and appliqué.
You will need: ·cardboard; ·bright colored paper; ·glue stick.
Place the template from the photo on a sheet of white cardboard. Cut out the fins from red cardboard.
We make the fish's body using the applique technique. To do this, we prepare colored strips from which we will make scales.
The size of the strip is 7x1 cm. We glue each strip in the shape of a drop.
We carefully glue the finished blanks along the line dividing the head and body and then along the entire body of the fish.
The head, mouth, and eyes of the fish are made using the end-graining technique. To do this, you need to prepare small rectangles equal in size to 1/128 of an A4 sheet or 1x2cm.
We crumple each rectangle into a blank using a pencil.
We glue the resulting blanks as close to each other as possible to avoid gaps.
After the fish's body and head are ready, we begin gluing the tail and fins. The rainbow fish in mixed technique is ready.
